Sure, I’ll describe my style first than other styles second. I usually wear a brightly colored scarf that covers my hair, ears, neck, and shoulders. I wrap it either like an arab (triangle going down my back and pined under chin and side of my head) or an iranian ( no pins, scarf is folded into a triangle and knotted under my chin with the strands covering my chest- think old russian lady). With that I wear a long sleeve top either with a long skirt or very baggy pants. Often my top will be a tunic that goes to my knees, or a full on punjabi suit. Sometimes I wear dresses with long tops underneath them since most long dresses are short sleeved. This, from my understanding, is a common modern style of hijab that enables me to wear pretty or in-styke outfits without compromising my modesty.
